A great book to use with children. I am a pediatric nurse and my daughter is studying to be a special education teacher. It will be perfect for both of us to use professionally!
This book is a perfect tool to use to help children verbalize their feelings. The illustrations are expressive and darling! This would be a great gift for any teacher or parent.
A delightfully engaging book for all ages with words as descriptors of feelings. The simple illustration of a person "show" the feelings in action. I purchased for my grand daughter, myself and a friend's child as a starting point for talking.
I am a therapist who works with children. This book is a wonderful gateway into talking about feelings. Kathy's illustrations are simple and effective, I find that children really relate to them.
I love this book. I had one given to me back in the '80's or 90's and have kept it as a reminder that we have lots of feelings - at least 26! I found it useful to help us elder folks put into words "the look" we sometimes give and receive! I was surprised and thrilled to see it again. The new drawings are delightful!
Such a sweet, simple book that gets right to the heart of feelings. The drawings have such character - people of all different races, shapes and sizes. I love the way it playfully explores beyond the basic "happy, sad, angry" feelings and delves into subtleties like "quizzical, shy, and wishful". This book is a great tool for starting the conversation about feelings with a child. It seems an ideal resource for children or adults on the autistic spectrum. Three thumbs up!
